Making Up Your Tent

The sound of the word camping already sends down shivers to those who love the outdoors. If you are the type of person to jump at the chance to enjoy nature, well camping is the way to go!

Setting up that four season tent you bought is very important so you can enjoy not only the nature, but also a good night’s sleep for another day ahead.

So you are off to go on a camping outdoor adventure with your friends. The main and the first thing you want to check out is the campsite. Find the flattest spot that you can locate in the open area. You do not want to set up your tent under a tree or any object that might cause dripping if ever it starts to rain. And if it does not rain, do not think that you are already safe. You still need to think about the tree sap, the bird droppings and/or the tree needles that will devastate your tent. The tarp will make sure that the dew does not soak into the fabric of your tent and creep up the sides, so unravel the tarp and lay it out on the spot that you have chosen. Your tarp is the one that keeps your floor tent dry as possible.

Start rolling out your tent once the tarp is completely laid out. The tents from shops to not need to be pegged into the ground, although if there is extreme wind unexpectedly happing, you might want to peg it into the ground.

Make sure you lay out your tent with the front door in the appropriate spot if you have a tent that requires stability from tent lines pegged into the ground.

If you are tight on budget, you can also buy used 4 season tents to make sure that you are prepared to whatever season you would like to camp.

Inflate your mattress after you have set up your tent and your topper/fly is on. Make sure that nothing touches the sides of the tent as this will attract unwanted moisture. Throw in your sleeping bags and happy camping!
